1. Who we are
The Mr-Protect app is developed and operated by Emre Günaydin, with contributions from other independent developers, based in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Website: https://mr-protect.com
Contact email: support@mr-protect.com
Mr-Protect is a parental control application designed to help parents and guardians protect children from exposure to adult or inappropriate content.
All brand names, logos, or trademarks mentioned in the app or on our website are the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Data we collect
Mr-Protect is designed to minimize data collection. The following data may be processed:
License-related information
License-related technical information of the hardware device, transmitted to our license server during license verification when a license is purchased through our website.
User-provided information
Email address or name, only if voluntarily provided by the parent or guardian (for example, when sending a report via email).
Important note:
The app does not collect or store unblurred personal content such as photos, videos, messages, or screenshots from the device.
3. How we use your data
We use the collected data solely to:
Verify and manage app licenses purchased through our website
Prevent license misuse or abuse
All app functionality and data processing occur locally on the user’s device.
Email reports:
When a parent or guardian explicitly chooses to send a blurred screen capture report via email, the generated image is transmitted through the selected email provider (such as Gmail or Outlook).
Emails are transmitted via the user’s chosen email provider. While the app does not access or read email content, standard server-side handling by the email provider may occur. Usage reports are sent securely (HTTPS/TLS) only when the parent or guardian explicitly chooses to send a report, and only to email addresses provided by the user.
4. Third-party services
Mr-Protect does not use third-party analytics, tracking tools, or advertising services.
Email transmission is handled solely by the user’s chosen email provider. Except for license verification, no app data is stored or processed on our servers.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
The only data transmitted externally is:
License-related technical information of the hardware device required for license verification
A blurred screen capture image when the parent or guardian explicitly chooses to send a report via email
No other data is shared or transferred.
6. Children’s privacy
Mr-Protect is a parental control application intended to be managed by parents or guardians.
The app does not collect personal data from children.
The app does not display advertisements and does not monetize children’s data.
7. Data retention
License-related technical information is stored only as long as necessary to validate the license and prevent misuse, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
App settings and parental control functionality remain on the device until the app is uninstalled or app data is cleared.
Blurred screenshots:
For versions purchased via our website, blurred screenshots may be stored locally on the device in encrypted format.
For versions downloaded from Google Play, blurred screenshots sent via email are not stored by the app after sending.
8. Your rights
